What do I do?
Between Sept. 16 - Nov. 3, 2009, bring your old jeans to the VANITY store nearest you to get 25% off a new pair of jeans for each pair you recycle. (excluding clearance) Your denim donation will be recycled into insulation to help rebuild communities and make a positive impact on the environment. So, how does it work? Only denim items will be accepted, but it can be any type of denim apparel (not just jeans) this can include colored denim. All decorations, including buttons, grommets, etc. are removed for the recycling process. The denim does not have to be organic cotton or 100% cotton. It does not have to be Vanity denim. Once collected, the donated denim is recycled and manufactured into UltraTouch��� Natural Cotton Fiber Insulation by Bonded Logic Inc. The natural cotton fiber insulation is then provided to communities in need. The recipient of this year���s drive has not yet been determined by Cotton Incorporated. 500 pairs of jeans recycles into approximately enough insulation for one home (based on a formula with the average house being approximately 2,300 square feet and the average wall 8��� x 12���.
